Great employment outcome for David following ANTA Traineeship

Last week we paid a visit to Bespoke Computing to catch up with one of our previous learners, David.

He signed up to our Traineeship scheme in March 2022, and the scheme not only enabled David to gain a Customer Service qualification but it also allowed him to prepare for the world of work.

We were able to help him with creating a CV, offer guidance on completing job applications as well as practising interview skills. The next stage of the traineeship allowed David to complete some hands on work experience.

Through our connections with local businesses we were able to offer David a work placement at Bespoke Computing and it went so well he was offered the opportunity to stay on permanently as an Apprentice Support Technician.

Now ten months into his Apprenticeship David credits his Traineeship for the support it gave him in preparing him for employment and is looking forward to continuing his career at Bespoke.

Managing Director Chris Pallett said,

“The benefit of the Traineeship was that David came to us ‘work ready’. He’s doing really well and we’d be more than happy to take on another traineeship participant”.

This is a great example of how traineeships can support young people, and we’re glad to have such great links with local employers to help make this happen.

We’re currently running Construction Traineeships, supporting young people into a sector which is always in need of new talent. If you’re interested in providing work placements or job opportunities to young people in the Telford area – get in touch!
