ANTA Education Partners with Donnington Community Hub to Provide Free CSCS Card Training

Telford based training provider ANTA Education will be hosting free CSCS training at Donnington Community Hub this June. After securing partial funding through Edward Cadbury charitable Trust the hub has instructed the team at ANTA Education to offer training to help 10 job seekers into work in the construction industry.

The three-day course in June will see learners work towards their green labourers CSCS card, which will open them up to a host of employment opportunities in the sector.

CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) is a UK-wide scheme that aims to improve health and safety standards on construction sites by ensuring that all workers have the appropriate training, qualifications, and skills. The CSCS card is a requirement for anyone who wants to work on a UK construction site, obtaining one can be a significant barrier to employment for many individuals.

The training will cover all aspects of the CSCS card application process, including health and safety training, and test preparation. Each learner will work to complete an accredited qualification in health and safety in a construction environment, giving them the basic knowledge to meet CITB regulations and apply for a CSCS card.

ANTA’s Managing Director Craig Howard has been working closely with Councillor Richard Overton to put the programme together. He said “We’re extremely pleased to have this opportunity to work together with the community hub. Our role as a private training provider is to reach out to community organisations to support local residents in any way that we can. By offering a variety of pathways for job seekers to acquire a CSCS card, we’re able to offer wider support to ensure that our learners are given the best opportunities possible.”

There will be an enrolment day on 19th June at The Hub, with the course itself starting on Monday 26th June. With limited funding for 10 learners the enrolment day will include information about the programme along with a short entry assessment.

Those interested in participating in the free training program can contact ANTA Education on 01952 201507 or email rachel@antaeducation.co.uk for further details.
