We're delighted to have been awarded a generous grant from Telford's Wynn Foundation to support our Not For Profit CIC, ANTA Community Training.
The funding we have received will support our new project for schools, which has been designed to give secondary school pupils access to short vocational qualifications. The project will to help boost student's confidence and add to their CV giving them additional knowledge of career progression.
Managing Director - Craig Howard said "The support from the Wynn Foundation will be invaluable for us to support schools in Telford and Shropshire. We've spoken to lots of schools over the past 12 months who see the value in this project and have students who need our support. However, funding for schools is limited so the ANTA team are trying to help them by sourcing external funding like this to help make a bigger impact. I'm incredibly grateful to Luke, Graham, Jenny and the Wynn Foundation for their support and I can't wait to see the impact this funding will make.
The Wynn Foundation said "We're very pleased to help support such a worthwhile initiative within a local school, and wish Craig and the team all the best with the project"
We're planning to utilize this funding to support a project within a secondary school in Shropshire to help construction students achieve accredited level 1 health and safety qualifications. We'll be sharing more information over the spring as we plan to deliver within the school setting in April.
The "Qualifications for Schools" project aims to raise funds to give secondary school children access to short accredited qualifications including customer service, health and safety, food safety and mental health awareness. We'd value any further support from organisations who would like to join our mission to give schools children more options.
